Raw Material Selection: We begin with high-purity refined cotton linter, characterized by low ash and negligible impurities.
Etherification: The cellulose is alkalized under precisely controlled conditions, followed by etherification to introduce methoxyl and hydroxypropyl groups.
Purification: The crude product undergoes successive washing and filtration stages to remove by‑products and residual salts, achieving exceptional purity suitable for demanding applications.

Both are cellulose ethers. MHEC offers better water retention and thickening efficiency at lower dosages. Landu supplies both grades; our technical team can recommend the best option for your specific formulation.
